Been a while...

I really need to start posting here more huh?? I guess not much new has happened to me, except for the fact that I am considering transferring to a different college next year and all I can think about is whether or not I am going to be getting a crappy apartment..... I've been getting into a few different things though...like listening to the dead again. (Phil Lesh's group in particular, and I never realized that Branford Marsalis played with them in the 90's). I love the Grateful Dead, but I have this habit of getting into a band a lot for a period of time, and then just plain getting sick of them for a while...so I'll have to be careful not to get all deaded out.
I've realized that I really need to get through the little pile of books I have...so I'm trying to start reading again. I'm reading through Invisible Man right now. It's a pretty easy read so that's nice, and it's a very interesting look into the idea of not being noticed or respected by society. I've also been reading more magazines, including this months national geographic with the heart on the cover. I never knew national geographic had science articles in it....it's very interesting to far....and it includes some amazing and graphic images. I've seen a surgery once in person, but it was not as intensive as an open heart surgery. It's amazing to see something like that being operated, and at the same time it's amazing to see pictures of it taking place... But anyway, I think I'll keep updating about different things I'm getting into... Maybe people will be interested, and maybe not heh.

I'm not dead

It's pretty crazy how little I've been posting on here. (Oops). But anyway, its getting close to the holidays and I'm off of school for a little bit, which is nice. I have been mostly undecided of what I want to go into in college, but recently I have been thinking of a medical career. The more I read about it the more interesting it sounds, and it is what I am going to go towards for now. I don't think there is a whole lot new with me right now though, except for the fact that I really need to read more. I have been meaning to read Gravity's Rainbow for a while now, so I am going to try. Speaking of Pynchon, his new book came out, Against the Day. I don't feel like 700 or so pages of Gravity's Rainbow will be too bad compared to the 1,000 or so in Against the Day. But anyway, I will continue to write about different things that may cross my mind during the winter break and throughout the next year.

Ask a ninja about Pop!Tech

The Ninja talks about the convention called Pop!Tech. Very funny like always. Also: He has a new background! It is white now instead of red.

Stuff that has interested me lately

I thought I'd post some stuff that has really interested me or has taken up some of my time lately if anyone was interested (heh). I'm a big fan of good movies. I don't like the crappy ones though (most modern movies). But anyway, I'm becoming a bigger fan of Federico Fellini all the time, and I am even more so after I saw The Nights of Cabiria. Ok, I don't get teary-eyed from many movies, but I was close with this one. It is such a sad movie, but it also has a great and hopeful ending. Another movie I really enjoyed recently was Rashomon. It's like a samurai whodunit, and it's pretty much awesome. Some other things I've been looking at is the web-site Digg. It is a little too good at killing time though.... The reason I brought up Digg (I figure most people already know about that site) is because I've recently found out about Hugg. While having the same idea about Digg, it instead features articles mainly about environmental issues, which is just darn cool. Alright, that's all I have for now, have a good day.

Hey

I can't believe I didn't post anything about my trip to N.Y......oops. I took some pictures, even though they didn't turn out that great, I'll try to post them soon. Anyway, I loved N.Y. Being from a small town, I'm always interested and excited to visit a new big city, but N.Y. was really different from any other I've been too. It was interesting to see the different areas and villages just in Manhattan. It was cool to see how much diversity there was in N.Y. compared to other big cities I have been to. We stayed around the theatre district of Manhattan, so I got to see a lot of the more touristy areas, and I wished I had gotten to see more of the other village's of Manhattan. I did get to see a little bit of the different neighborhoods though; I walked through Greenwich Village (and got lost...), and a little bit of SoHo. So anyway, I really wish I could live in a big city like New York..... Seeing the different little stores and neighborhoods made me realize how much I wish I could live in a place like New York. Maybe eventually huh? I only got to see Manhattan (which seemed like a pretty rich area), so maybe next time I'll get to explore the different villages and boroughs of New York. But anyway, have a good day!

Hey

Ok, I haven't posted in forever, I apologize, but I will more, I swear. I was going to try and make my own little template, but it looks kind of confusing to do....I'm used to HTML, but its weird with blocker (I know I'm a wuss), but I think I'll stick with this and try changing it as I go, so if something looks weird, I'm probably working on it. So stay tuned for more posts, and thanks for reading (the two people who don't know why they're here).

Vacation

I'm just posting to tell anyone who's reading (that's right, you, the one person who got here and didn't even mean to) that I'm going to be on vacation to NYC so I probably won't be posting for about a week. When I get back I'll probably be working on a new layout, and maybe I'll actually post something interesting!

TV Shows

I don't watch TV shows much, I just don't like most of the shows that are on right now. Out of the small amount of TV shows I do watch I think sitcoms are the smallest group of them. Lately though I've discovered two shows that have really changed my opinion of sitcoms (I can't think of what else to call them anyway). Even though I've been watching them on DVD's, so I'm still not really watching TV much, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Arrested Development are two of the best TV shows I've seen in a very long time. Larry David is just a crazy and goofy guy and Arrested Development has some great acting and writing. These two shows pretty much gave me new hope that TV shows can still be good. Ok, I'm not trying to advertise for these shows or anything, I just thought I'd say how much I like them.

Update!

I'm going to try and post on here more, so I apologize about the few updates. I'm also trying to make a different layout of the site, so that's why it looks a little weird right now. So anyway, thanks for reading so far.
